I dream of creating a beautiful, permanent sanctuary where rescued and rehabilitated animals can find safety, kindness and a place to call home.

Meet Bernie ♡

The horse behind the name.

Bernie was my first—and only—rescue horse,
and he became so much more than that.

He is the inspiration behind Bernie's Farm Sanctuary and the reminder that one animal can completely change the direction of a life.

What began with Bernie has grown into a dream of someday helping many more animals just like him.

The Dream

♡

I imagine Bernie's Farm Sanctuary as a peaceful countryside haven filled with rescued animals, rehabilitation spaces, gardens, open pastures and a charming roadside farm shop.

A place where animals who have been neglected, abandoned or simply need another chance can finally feel safe.

The dream was even inspired, in part, by something wonderfully nostalgic: Hay Day, the farm game I loved playing as a child.

What once existed on a little screen became something I began dreaming of creating in real life.

Only this farm would have a much greater purpose.

The Inspiration

Seeing the incredible work of Farm Sanctuary and their Watkins Glen Sanctuary in upstate New York truly shaped this vision.

They rescue, protect and advocate for farm animals who have been abused, neglected or forgotten—giving them the second chance they deserve.

Their compassion, dedication and beautiful sanctuary showed me what’s possible...

and helped shape the dream
I now carry for Bernie's Farm Sanctuary.
